Ardglass Golf Club – 1405 clubhouse
Ardglass, down
Ardglass is an 18-hole links hugging the cliffs of the Down coast, with the Irish Sea visible from every tee and green and in play on eight holes. Its clubhouse, a fortified warehouse dating to around 1405, is reckoned the oldest building in the world still used for golf. Green fees bite in high season, but it sits half an hour from Royal County Down and earns the detour.
